Having had a very busy and stressful time over the last few months, a well earned break was needed. This time, we decided to take a trip down to Cornwall. I’d been there before but not really explored at all, so we thought it would be cool to book a nice AirBNB, and travel round and explore the beautiful Cornish coast.
We picked the small village of Coverack as our base. The beautiful coastal area was close to shops and larger towns, and offered great access to all of the parts of Cornwall we had planned to visit. We decided to cram a lot into our 4 days (not including the 6 hour drive each way), so we planned our trip and route carefully.
During our first day, explored around by the Goonhilly space station, hiked around Lands End, visited the coastal theatre of Minack, spent an afternoon in the beautiful village of Mousehole, and ended the day exploring St Ives and sitting down for a well earned meal.
Our second day was just as busy, with an unsuccessful trip to Truro Cathedral, followed by a quick walk around Falmouth (and some fantastic Vegan Fish n Chips!), with an afternoon trip over to the incredible St Michaels Mount. Unfortunately the tide was in, so we had to take a boat over instead of walking the causeway, but it took nothing away from such an incredible place. We ended our day with an evening hike out to the headland at Coverack to watch the sunset, which was beautiful if not eerily silent.
On our last day, we made the most of the time we had before leaving by visiting 2 of Cornwalls most beautiful gardens. We started off the day with a visit to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, before heading over to the Eden Project.
